2015 NATIONAL FARMWORKERS HEALTH CONFERENCE

View the current Conference Program

As millions of Americans have secured affordable health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), several million low income individuals have been left behind without health insurance and limited places for them to access care.  Some states elected not to expand Medicaid leaving some of the poorest low income Americans without coverage, including thousands of farmworkers and their families.  Following the second open enrollment period to purchase health insurance coverage through the Marketplace/Exchanges, a lot has been learned about what worked best and what problems were encountered during the re-enrollment period.  Come to learn from your colleagues, federal officials and heath care experts of the latest policy and program priorities and how they impact service delivery.  Come to learn the latest information on how  implementation of the ACA is benefitting millions of low to moderate income Americans, as well as those left without coverage and how health centers are stepping up to serve  them with compassion, respect and protect their dignity.

The National Farmworker Health Conference is the only national conference dedicated solely on the health and well-being of migrant and seasonal farmworkers. This is the perfect opportunity for your organization to connect with prominent, influential CHC staff, board members, government officials and advocates representing farmworkers and their families who make Community/Migrant Health Centers their health care home.  Come to San Antonio and experience the famous River Walk during Cinco de Mayo!
